According to a report by Daily Nigerian, the minister made this known in Abuja during a press briefing on the preparations for the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

His statement follows the recent altercation between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and a naval officer in Abuja over a disputed plot of land allegedly linked to former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo (rtd).

Badaru emphasized that his ministry and the military will firmly stand by officers who discharge their duties according to the law and with integrity. He added that no officer acting truthfully and within the bounds of duty would face any form of intimidation.

In conclusion, the minister commended the efforts of security personnel in safeguarding the nation and maintaining peace, assuring that the government will continue to support them to carry out their responsibilities efficiently and in a conducive environment.
