LADO Foundation Sponsors Tuition and Exam Fees for 17,888 Students Across Katsina State

A leading non-governmental organization, the LADO Foundation, has paid tuition and examination fees for 17,888 students across secondary schools and tertiary institutions in Katsina State, reaffirming its commitment to promoting access to quality education and reducing financial barriers for students.
The Secretary of the Foundation, Mohammed Ghali Salisu Bakori, disclosed this during a student screening exercise held at the Federal University, Dutsinma.

According to Bakori, the beneficiaries include 5,487 university students, 3,313 students from colleges of education, and 206 students from technical colleges whose tuition fees were fully paid by the Foundation. In addition, 4,706 candidates for NECO and 4,176 JAMB candidates also benefited from the Foundation’s payment of examination fees.
He explained that the initiative aims to ensure that financial hardship does not hinder students from pursuing their educational dreams.
“We have also expanded our support beyond education by training hundreds of youth and women in various skills and providing them with start-up funds to establish small businesses,” Bakori said.
The Secretary further revealed that the Foundation also settles medical expenses for patients suffering from different ailments as part of its broader humanitarian objectives.
Bakori emphasized that the LADO Foundation, established by Senator Lado Danmarke, is a non-political organization focused solely on providing assistance to people, particularly the less privileged.
He assured that the Foundation will continue to offer educational, medical, and economic empowerment programs to improve the well-being of communities across Katsina State and beyond.
