Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Announces Final 2026 Hajj Fare and Refund Details

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially announced the approved 2026 Hajj fare following the directive of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) after due consultations and harmonization of costs.

In statement signed by Suleiman Abdullahi Dederi Public Relations officer of the Board stressed that, The Director General of the Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, confirmed that the approved amount for all intending pilgrims from Kano State is ₦7,696,769.76 (Seven Million, Six Hundred and Ninety-Six Thousand, Seven Hundred and Sixty-Nine Naira, Seventy-Six Kobo).

Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u explained that pilgrims who had earlier deposited ₦8,500,000.00 will be refunded ₦803,230.24, while those who paid ₦8,244,813.67 will receive a refund of ₦548,043.91.

He further stated that intending pilgrims making fresh payments are required to pay the full approved fare of ₦7,696,769.76 to secure their Hajj slots.

The Director General emphasized that the deadline for all payments is December 5, 2025, in strict compliance with NAHCON’s directive. He urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments on time to avoid disqualification or loss of allocation.

Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience for all Kano State pilgrims.
