Born on November 6, 1960, in the historic town of Gwarzo, His Excellency Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, Deputy Governor of Kano State, represents a rare blend of grassroots consciousness, visionary leadership, and lifelong dedication to public service.
At 65, Comrade Gwarzo remains one of the strongest links between community values and political excellence — a leader whose humility, discipline, and courage continue to inspire generations across Kano and beyond.

From Gwarzo Classrooms to National Leadership
Comrade Gwarzo’s educational journey began at Shehu Abdulwahab Special Primary School (1966–1972), followed by Kano Teachers College (1972–1977). His thirst for knowledge and professionalism led him to earn an OND in Marketing and an HND in Accounting from the School of Management Studies, and later, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Bayero University, Kano.
This robust educational foundation prepared him for a versatile career that has traversed education, administration, and governance — all driven by his passion for human development and public accountability.

Starting as a Primary School Teacher and later a Headmaster, Comrade Gwarzo laid the groundwork for a life of service. His transition to the Kano State Board of Internal Revenue brought him into the heart of public administration, where his commitment to transparency and efficiency earned him widespread respect.
