Kano Municipal Council Commissions New Transformer in Tudun Wuzirci to Restore Electricity and Improve Living Standards
— Chairman Gwangwazo Commends Residents’ Patience, Lauds Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for Support

In line with the Kano State Government’s commitment to improving the welfare and living standards of its citizens, the Kano Municipal Local Government Council has commissioned the installation of a new electricity transformer in the Tudun Wuzirci quarters of the area.
According to a statement by the Zonal Information Officer of Kano Municipal Zone, Abdullahi Musa Gyadi-Gyadi, the commissioning ceremony was led by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Alhaji Salim Hashim Idris Gwangwazo, who called on residents to take full responsibility for protecting and maintaining government and non-governmental projects provided within their communities.

Hon. Gwangwazo stressed that the era of neglecting public facilities is over, urging citizens to safeguard all developmental projects and support initiatives aimed at enhancing community growth and sustainability.
He commended the residents of Tudun Wuzirci for their patience and resilience in enduring a prolonged power outage that lasted over six months, describing their perseverance as commendable and worthy of emulation.

The Chairman also appealed to other communities within the local government experiencing similar electricity challenges to remain patient, assuring them that ongoing interventions will soon bring relief.
While expressing appreciation to the Kano State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Hon. Gwangwazo acknowledged the vital role the state government played in providing and installing the new transformer, alongside other developmental projects across the council area.
In his remarks, the Councillor representing Tudun Wuzirci Ward, Alhaji Aliyu Tukur Sagagi, speaking on behalf of the benefiting community, pledged that residents will ensure proper maintenance and protection of the newly installed transformer. He expressed gratitude to both the Kano State Government and the Kano Municipal Council for their commitment to community development and improving living conditions.
