Kano State Leads  In Hajj Pilgrim Remittances, Praised by National Commission

Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has been recognized as the top performer in Nigeria for the timely remittance of Hajj payments to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON). Official data presented at a recent NAHCON meeting in Abuja confirmed that Kano State has remitted for the highest number of intending pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj exercise.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the Board Comrade Suleiman A. Dederi stated that, This achievement underscores the state’s proactive leadership and commitment to ensuring a seamless spiritual journey for its citizens.

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, attributed this success to the unwavering support of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusif. “His commitment to providing the necessary resources without delay has been the cornerstone of our success,” Danbappa stated. “In Kano, we treat the sacred duty of Hajj administration with the utmost seriousness. This milestone reflects our unwavering pledge to provide every intending pilgrim from our state with a smooth, well-coordinated, and spiritually fulfilling journey.”

The Board also extended its gratitude to the intending pilgrims, local government Hajj officers, and its dedicated staff for their cooperation and efficiency in meeting NAHCON’s deadlines ahead of schedule.

In response to the achievement, the Chairman of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, commended Kano State for setting a national benchmark. He urged other states to emulate Kano’s model of early remittance and meticulous preparation, which are critical for seamless national planning and logistics for the Hajj operations.

Kano State’s consistent excellence in Hajj organization continues to solidify its reputation as a model for effective pilgrim management and service delivery in Nigeria.
