Collaboration Aims to Boost Entrepreneurship and Skill Development for Kano’s Youth

In a significant move to address youth unemployment and foster economic self-reliance, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB) has announced a strategic partnership with the SSR & SR Gwale Local Government Forum. The collaboration is centered on empowering young people through targeted initiatives in entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, and capacity building.

The agreement was solidified during a courtesy visit by the SSR & SR Gwale Forum, led by Alhaji Yakubu Umar Ibrahim, to the office of the Director General of the Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa.

During the meeting, Alhaji Danbappa expressed the Board’s full commitment to the partnership, underscoring its importance to the state’s future. “Our youth are our greatest asset. This partnership with the SSR & SR Gwale Forum is a testament to our shared commitment to investing in their potential,” stated Alhaji Danbappa. “We will work hand-in-hand to develop and strengthen programs that provide tangible skills and create opportunities, not just in Gwale but across Kano State.”

Alhaji Yakubu Umar Ibrahim, Leader of the Forum, commended the Director General for his unwavering support. “Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa has been a father figure and a pillar of encouragement for our initiatives. This visit was to formally seek a deeper collaboration to amplify our impact. We are confident that with the Board’s partnership, we can achieve far greater results in improving the livelihoods of our young people,” he said.

The partnership is designed to align with the broader vision of the Kano State Government for sustainable development. By combining the community outreach and grassroots presence of the SSR & SR Gwale Forum with the institutional support of the Pilgrims Welfare Board, the initiative aims to create a robust framework for youth empowerment that leads to lasting economic growth and community stability.
