Katsina,NBA partner for speedy trials in shari’a courts

Katsina State Grand khadi Prof. Mohammed Kabir Abubakar has pledge to work with Nigeria Bar Association for speedy trial of cases before Sharia courts.
Abubakar who spoke while receiving Nigeria Bar Association Funtua Branch said both Sharia courts and lawyers are partners to protect rights of individuals and work to address delay of judgments.
He reminded members of the association on the need to work with his office to strengthen sharia system for continue peace and justice in our society.
“we need to support, understand and cooperate for efficient service to complainers so as to continue earn respect from the public”. He said
Professor Abubakar said the visit will provide opportunities to rub minds and discuss toward bridging gaps between his office and association.
He assured that his door will remain open to work with members of the association for mutual working relationship and any assistance needed by the association.
The Grand Khadi said his office is ready to forward the request of the association of amending some sections of sharia court laws of 2008 to state government.

Professor Abubakar called on the members of the association to fear Allah and always work with the interest of the public while discharging the duties.
Earlier the chairman of the association Barr. Ibrahim Korau said the visit is to cement working relationship with office of the Grand Khadi and discuss areas for efficient service delivery at various sharia courts.
Barr. Korau called on the state government and office of the Grand Khadi to make amendment on some section of sharia court law of 2008.
