“We have lost a towering figure” – Governor Radda

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned Kano businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, who died at the age of 94.

In a condolence message, Governor Radda described the late business mogul as a giant whose footprints in commerce, industry, and humanitarian service stretched across Northern Nigeria and beyond.

The Governor noted that the deceased’s business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit served as inspiration to countless young people across the North, while his philanthropic endeavours touched lives in ways that will be remembered for generations.

Governor Radda also stated that the passing of Alhaji Dantata is a colossal loss to Nigeria. The nation has lost a bridge-builder, a mentor, and a patriarch whose wisdom guided many through the complexities of business and life.

Governor Radda, on behalf of the Government and people of Katsina State, extended heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, the Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, the Dantata family, the business community, and all who were touched by the late patriarch’s benevolence.

The Governor prayed that Almighty Allah grants Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata Aljannah Firdaus and gives his family, friends, and associates the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
