Military Officers Are Friends to All,” Says Army Commander G. Egbunu at Diplomacy Campaign
The Kano State Commander of the Nigerian Army, Commander G. Egbunu, has reaffirmed that military officers are ordinary citizens and friends to all. He made this declaration during the Second Quarter Military Diplomacy Campaign 2025, held in Fagge Local Government Area.

Commander Egbunu emphasized that endurance and perseverance are key to succeeding in the Nigerian Army recruitment process. He also noted that Fagge LGA was chosen for the event due to its exemplary peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among diverse ethnic and linguistic communities.
The campaign, he explained, is part of a nationwide initiative led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Musa, OFR, designed to strengthen military-civilian relations. The Commander urged youths to engage openly with military personnel and report any unethical or suspicious activities in their communities.
Representing the Chairman of Fagge Local Government, Vice Chairman Hon. Nura Suleman commended the Nigerian Army for selecting Fagge as the host of the event. He expressed gratitude to traditional rulers, security agencies, politicians, and community members for their unwavering support and participation.
Among those who attended the occasion includes Malam Ado Kurawa (Sarkin Fadar Kano), District Head of Fagge, Alhaji Aminu Muhammad Sadik (Bunun Kano), District Head of Rijiyar Lemo, Egwe Dr. Boniface Ibekwe, Chief of the Igbo Community, Chiefs of the Edo and Idoma Communities Hon. Abel and President of the Sabon Gari Community Forum
The event underscored the Nigerian Army’s commitment to fostering trust and collaboration between security forces and civilians.
