KNSG TO REPAIR ABANDONED BOREHOLE MACHINES AND FIGHT OPEN DEFECATION

Kano State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to conduct major repairs on the abandoned Broken Borehole machines as part of effort in providing portable drinking water in rural and urban areas across the state.

The Commissioner for Rural and Community Development Alhaji Hamza Safiyanu Kachako during a familiarization tour to Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASA).

Alhaji Safiyanu Kachako stressed that, preparation is on top gear by the present administration for a major repairs of Boreholes Machines abandoned for years in it’s effort toward ensuring provision of portable water at all level.


The Commissioner therefore urged the staff of the agency to give their maximum support and cooperation to the New Managing Director of the Agency in his effort to improve the services of the agency, adding that, the present administration under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has serious concerned on the water shortage as well as open defecation in rural and urban areas in the state.


Earlier in his remark, the Managing Director of Rural water Supply and sanitation Agency Engineer Shamwilu Abdulkadir Isah Commended the Commissioner for the visit and assured that, the agency will give all the maximum support and cooperation to the present administration effort in alleviating potable drinking water shortage in the state.
