Jigawa Golden Stars responded with an equalizer in the 35th minute, but Barau FC quickly regained the lead just a minute later, with Shammasu Muhd netting the decisive goal. The win keeps Barau FC firmly in contention for a playoff berth.
With this result, Barau FC solidifies its second-place position in Group C, accumulating 15 points from 10 matches. Wikki Tourists remain at the top with 17 points, while Gombe United trails closely in third with 15 points but an inferior goal difference.
