It is with a heavy heart that I mourn the passing of Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, at the ripe age of 92. His demise is a profound loss that resonates far beyond the borders of Kano Emirate, Kano State, or Nigeria, extending to the entire Muslim world.
Galadiman Kano’s remarkable life was a testament to his unwavering dedication to the Kano Emirate and its people. With a career spanning over six decades, he served as a pillar of wisdom, tradition, and leadership. His appointment as Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida in 1959 marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, culminating in his elevation as Galadiman Kano.

May Allah grant Galadiman Kano Aljannatul Firdaus and comfort his family, the Kano Emirate Council, the chairman of APC Kano State Abdullahi Abbas (Dan Sarki Jikan Sarki) the APC family and the people of Kano State during this difficult time. May his soul rest in perfect peace insha’Allah. Ameen.
