The Kano State Ministry of Works and Housing, led by the Honorable Commissioner, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, has undertaken a thorough inspection of critical infrastructure projects across the state.
Accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, QS Halima Ali Baba, and other senior ministry officials, the team assessed the progress, quality, and execution of multiple ongoing construction and renovation initiatives.Â
The inspection tour focused on the following key projects:Â
– Maintenance of the Shaikh Jaafar UnderpassÂ
– Construction of Dunku to Sheyan to Lingawa Road in Madobi Local Government AreaÂ
– Construction of the Ultra-Modern Market in Kwankwaso (Madobi LGA)Â
– Construction and Renovation of the College of Nursing Sciences, Madobi, including the Madobi Bridge to Kafin Me YakiÂ
– Rogo 5-Kilometer RoadÂ
– Construction of Rogo to Bari to Falgore to Mahangi RoadÂ
During the inspection, Commissioner Engr. Marwan Ahmad commended the progress made on the projects while reaffirming the state government’s unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure that addresses the needs of the people. He urged contractors to strictly adhere to project timelines and maintain the highest standards of workmanship.Â
Permanent Secretary QS Halima Ali Baba echoed the commissioner’s sentiments, emphasizing the ministry’s dedication to ensuring the timely and efficient completion of all projects. She highlighted the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to achieve sustainable development and maximize the impact of these initiatives on the communities they serve.Â
