The Kano State Forum of Juma’at Mosques Imams has pledged to support Kano State Government Campaign to Eradicate Polio.
The State Chairman Council of Juma’a Mosques Imam Sheikh Nasir Muhammad Adam renew the pledge while Receiving members of the state social mobilization team who visited his at Kofar Mata Juma’a Mosques.
Sheikh Nasir Adam who stressed the importance of the Vaccine assured for their continue support for the successful conduct of the campaign.
Earlier in his remark, the state social mobilization officer Malam Shehu Dabo said, the visit was aimed at briefing the forum members on the preparation by the state government to conduct polio vaccination exercise to be administer to children from birth to 5 years of Age (0-59) adding that, the exercise will be conducted in 2 phases consisting of 21 Local Government in the first phase and 23 on second phase.
The exercise according to the mobilization officer will be conducted at health care centers, motor parks, mosque and churches as well as some designated centres.
He solicited the support and cooperation of the forum l for the successful conduct of the campaign.
The Committee has also made a similar advocacy visit to Kano State Branch of the Chirstian Association of Nigeria(CAN).
