The Interim Management Officer of Dambatta Local Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Barwa, has called on the people of Dambatta to support the current administration’s development policies and democratic principles.
Barwa made this appeal during a meeting with representatives from the ten wards of Dambatta regarding the upcoming local government elections.
He stressed the importance of maintaining peace before and after the elections, urging political candidates to avoid using vulgar language in their campaigns. He emphasized that all political parties should refrain from employing thugs or using offensive language to tarnish their opponents’ reputation.
One of the contestants, Alhaji Jamilu Abubakar, echoed Barwa’s sentiments, stating that they are committed to ensuring that the elections will be free and fair.
He called on all contestants to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations set by the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC).
