The Interim Management of Kano Municipal Local Government Area, led by Alhaji Bashir Chilla, has pledged to combat land encroachment at all health facilities in the area.
Chilla made this commitment during his first visit to the Ƴan Awaki Primary Health Center and Sharada Cottage Hospital, fulfilling his pledge made during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed supervisory councillors to be the first place to visit.
The committee chairman extensively emphasized the significance of health facilities for human well-being.
Alhaji Bashir expressed dismay over the land encroachment at Ƴan Awaki Health Care Center in Kofar Wambai and promised to address the issue promptly.
The Interim Chairman urged the staff to redouble their efforts to achieve the desired goals.
While visiting Sharada Cottage Hospital, Chilla commended the staff for their efforts and cleanliness, urging them to maintain it.
Alhaji Sani Abdullahi Salihu, in charge of the primary health center, thanked the caretaker chairman for his efforts to revitalize the health sector.
Among those who welcomed the IMC was a woman who had given birth at the maternity section of the center on the day of inspection.
During the visit, Chilla was accompanied by his Vice, Sani Aminu Sadiq, the Secretary of the local government, Alhaji Haris Gandu, and councillors.
