Kano CSC Promotes 48 Civil Servants

The Kano State Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved the promotion of 48 civil servants across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the state.

In a statement issued by the Director Public Enlightenment of the Commission Jamilu Mustafa Yakasai stated that, The Chairperson of the Commission, Hajiya Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, disclosed this during the Commission’s regular monthly sitting. She explained that the meeting focused on assessing eligibility for promotions, considering requests for transfer of service, and addressing disciplinary matters where necessary.

Hajiya Ladidi emphasized that all decisions of the Commission are guided strictly by the established rules and regulations of the civil service. She urged civil servants to uphold professionalism, adhere to laid-down procedures, and refrain from misconduct or dishonesty, stressing that acts of indiscipline will not be tolerated.

She also advised staff seeking transfers or related requests to consult the Commission to fully understand the required procedures before initiating such applications.

The Chairperson expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf for its continued support to civil servants and its commitment to policies that enhance efficient service delivery.

In their separate remarks, Commissioner I, Alhaji Abdullahi Mahmud Umar, and Commissioner II, Alhaji Ado Ahmad Muhammad, highlighted the importance of dedication to duty and maintaining high standards in the service.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Sani Shehu Minjibir, reiterated the responsibilities of public servants and encouraged workers to continuously improve their knowledge of civil service rules. He assured that the Commission remains committed to safeguarding the rights of all civil servants.

The meeting was attended by all Commission members and Directors.
