Kano Pilgrims Board Launches Statewide Induction Programme

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced its statewide Hajj Induction Course (BITA) as part of preparations for intending pilgrims ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.
Declaring the programme open, the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, called on all prospective pilgrims to participate actively in the training. He noted that the induction course, scheduled to run for five weeks, is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and guidance required for a successful pilgrimage.

In a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the Board Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi further stated that, Alhaji Matawalle disclosed that the Board has established 20 training centres across Kano State to ensure easy access for all intending pilgrims. The centres are located in various Local Government Areas, including Dala, Kumbotso, Ungogo, Bichi, Gwarzo, Wudil, Gezawa, Kura, Rano, Tudun Wada, Doguwa, Takai, Rogo, Rimin Gado, Karaye, Bebeji, and Gaya.
He added that special training centres have also been designated at the School for Arabic Studies and the College for Qur’anic Studies to further support the exercise.
The Director General reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring that all pilgrims from Kano State are adequately prepared spiritually, physically, and mentally for the Hajj.
The Board therefore urged all registered pilgrims to attend the induction sessions regularly and take full advantage of the programme.
