The defection of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to the All Progressives Congress represents a seismic shift in Kano politics. This move reflects a strategic realignment ahead of the 2027 elections and opens the door to the formation of a powerful political coalition capable of consolidating influence and strengthening the APC’s dominance in the state.
