On revenue generation, Anas stated that the state achieved 81.66 percent of its internally generated revenue target for 2025, amounting to N565.28 billion. He added that total expenditure stood at N482.81 billion, representing 69.69 percent budget performance, with N343 billion invested in capital projects across the state.

However, the Commissioner expressed concern over the state’s heavy reliance on federal allocations to fund its operations. He noted that inflows from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) accounted for over 87 percent of the state’s total recurrent revenue in the 2025 fiscal year.

Anas warned that such dependence exposes the state’s fiscal position to external macroeconomic and policy risks, stressing the urgent need to diversify revenue sources in order to strengthen fiscal sustainability and long-term economic stability.
