Rep. Dabai Disburses Cash, Irrigation Machines to Constituents

In a significant move to bolster grassroots economic development, Hon. Abdullahi Balarabe Dabai, Member representing Bakori/Danja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has disbursed substantial cash assistance and vital agricultural equipment to his constituents.

The empowerment initiative, held recently, saw 180 individuals receive direct cash grants categorized as N200,000, N150,000, and N100,000, based on carefully assessed needs. Additionally, fifty (50) selected beneficiaries were presented with modern water pumping machines to enhance dry-season irrigation farming and boost agricultural productivity.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Dabai stated that the intervention was strategically designed to promote self-reliance, improve livelihoods, and strengthen the local economy. “The assistance is part of our resolve to boost economic activities for self-reliance,” he declared. He urged all beneficiaries to utilize the resources judiciously to achieve sustainable growth.

The lawmaker highlighted his consistent commitment to empowerment, recalling that over the past three years, his constituency programs have included extensive youth training in computer literacy, with start-up kits provided to graduates. He also noted separate initiatives for women, involving disbursements of cash, sewing machines, spaghetti-making equipment, and other valuable items.

Hon. Dabai pledged to sustain and expand these training and empowerment schemes to directly combat unemployment challenges within Bakori and Danja Local Government Areas.

In his remarks, he commended Katsina State Governor, His Excellency Dikko Umar Radda, for parallel efforts in job creation through the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA) and other state government programs, emphasizing the importance of collaborative governance for development.
