Dala LG Empowers Youths with Motorcycles to Boost Livelihoods

No fewer than fifteen (15) able-bodied youths in Dala Local Government Area have been empowered with motorcycles under an empowerment initiative introduced by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Suraj Ibrahim Imam, aimed at strengthening youth productivity and improving their means of livelihood.IMG 20260103 WA0039 IMG 20260103 WA0037

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Suraj Ibrahim Imam stated that the gesture should not be viewed as a favour but as well-deserved support in recognition of the beneficiaries’ contributions to the accelerated growth and development of the society. He emphasized that youth empowerment remains a key priority of his administration as part of efforts to promote self-reliance and economic sustainability at the grassroots.

The Chairman further disclosed that plans are underway to roll out a special empowerment programme targeting two hundred (200) female youth activists in the near future. He assured youths who were not included in the current phase to remain patient, noting that the programme is ongoing and that more beneficiaries will be considered in subsequent phases. He also urged them to join in congratulating the first set of beneficiaries.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kano State Chapter, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yusha’u Soja, commended the Dala Local Government Chairman for the initiative and congratulated the beneficiaries. She praised the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, for providing full support to local government councils, which she said has enabled council chairmen to successfully implement people-oriented programmes, policies, and projects.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Soja also expressed appreciation to the party leader, Senator Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for his role in the emergence of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, noting that his contributions would remain indelible in the annals of history. She further prayed for unity, understanding, cooperation, and mutual trust among local government chairmen to ensure rapid and sustainable grassroots development.

In a statement signed by the Hassana Aminu the Council Information officer disclosed that, The event was attended by the Chairman of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area, Alhaji Anas Dan Maliki; the Vice Chairman of Dala Local Government, Alhaji Abdulaziz Dayyabu Ahmad Mai Turare; Focus Committee Chairmen; appointed and elected councillors; as well as advisers to the Chairman across various sectors.
