KAROTA To Supports Kano Indigenes Studying At Sule Lamido University

The Kano Road and Traffic Agency (KAROTA) has restated its commitment to supporting Kano State indigenes studying at Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State, with a pledge to present their concerns and requests to relevant authorities for necessary intervention.
This assurance was given by the Managing Director of KAROTA, Hon. Faisal Mahmud Kabir, when he received executives of the Sule Lamido University Students’ Association during a courtesy visit to his office last week.

In a statement signed by KAROTA’s Public Relations Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim Sharada, Anipr, the Managing Director emphasized the importance of empowering young people and reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to liaise with the appropriate government bodies to address the students’ transportation challenges between Kano and Jigawa States.
Hon. Faisal further revealed that KAROTA would collaborate with the Ministry of Works to explore the possibility of providing hostel accommodation for over 4,000 Kano State students studying at the institution. He noted that the initiative aims to reduce the accommodation burden on students and enhance their access to quality education.

While urging the students to remain disciplined and serve as worthy ambassadors of Kano State, Hon. Faisal expressed pride in the academic achievements of the state’s youths both within and outside Kano.
Earlier, the President of the Sule Lamido University Students’ Association, Comrade Habibu Abdullahi Abubakar, said the visit was intended to present the students’ challenges and strengthen collaboration between the association and KAROTA.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the KAROTA Managing Director commended the students for their initiative and assured them of the agency’s continued support and partnership whenever the need arises
