The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has reaffirmed his commitment to the development of education in the state by commissioning an Islamic Primary School in his hometown, Gwarzo Local Government Area.
The newly established school, named *Hajiya Talle Muhyiddeen Islamiyyah Primary School* in honor of the Deputy Governor’s mother, was inaugurated at a well-attended event featuring management, staff, students, and community members.
Speaking during the ceremony, Comrade Gwarzo highlighted that the school aims to provide students with a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge, including Qur’anic studies, moral values, and life skills to prepare them for future challenges.
He pledged to work closely with the school’s management to address its needs and ensure its growth and sustainability.
The Deputy Governor expressed hope that students of the school would excel academically and participate in State, National, and International Qur’anic competitions, reflecting the institution’s quality and impact.
Comrade Gwarzo also emphasized that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf prioritizes education. He cited the recently approved 2025 budget, which allocates 31% of the overall budget to education, covering both Islamic and Western educational development in Kano State.
He delivered Governor Yusuf’s message of appreciation to the stakeholders and management of the school for their dedication to the advancement and sustainability of the institution.
The Deputy Governor equally utilized the atmosphere to call on all elected local government chairmen and councilors to remain close to their communities, engage with the people to understand their needs across all sectors, and devise sustainable strategies to address them effectively.
